The members of Ombudsman's National Preventive Mechanism against violation carried on long-term visit to Health Ministry's Clinic Psychiatric Hospital #2. They met the patients in wards and departments, learned their detention conditions, inspection and cure processes. They also investigated the treatment towards patients, their cure, feeding, their security in food products, and medicinal preparations, Ombudsman Office's press service reported.
A number of obstacles were found during the visit. Thus, because of no yard in the institution, it is impossible for the patients to walk once a day in the yard. Also it was determined that some wards had no walls for keeping the personal possessions as well as the absence of dentist, workshop for psychological rehabilitation.
It was noted that Ombudsman would appeal to the Health Ministry on these issues.
They also gave certain advices to the establishment's leadership on the perfection of keeping conditions.
