Azerbaijani Education Ministry launches testing in private universities

The Azerbaijani Education Ministry has started checking the activities of Western University, in order to issue a new license to the private university, the ministry told Trend.
The checking, which will last 15 days, will cover the material-technical base of educational institutions, teaching conditions, teaching staff, international relations and the level of training on specialties.
The Western University was opened in 1991.
In early 2011, the Ministry's Licensing Commission decided to extend the licenses issued to the Khazar University, Dunya school and the Baku Business University.
There are 51 higher educational institutions in Azerbaijan and 15 of them are private.
