Last year 22 children died in traffic accidents in Baku.
Last year 22 children died and 84 children injured in traffic accidents in Baku, Baku State Traffic Police Department spokesman Vagif Asadov told Trend.
He said 21 children among the dead and 20 children among injured were at the preschool age.
The traffic accidents killed 13 schoolchildren, while injuring 64 schoolchildren.
Last year the number of traffic accident decreased by eight cases, victims of which were children, the number of injured decreased by 15 people, number of dead by one child compared to 2009.
Asadov noted that parents, teachers and traffic police have to take the issue of children's safety on roads more responsibly.
