The court did not release the arrested chairman of the Azerbaijani Islamic Party.

The Baku Court of Appeal presided by Judge Abid Abdinbekov considered the appeal of the chairman of the Azerbaijani Islamic Party Movsum Samadov.

The court did not meet the appeal and kept the decision of the Narimanov District Court in force.

While considering Movsum Samadov's documents, it was revealed that the Narimanov district court chose the administrative detention for a period of 13 days on January 7 because of his disobedience to the lawful demands of the police. The term of his arrest expires tomorrow.

Samadov is contained in the main department for combating organised crime under the Interior Ministry.

Samadov was arrested in early January as a suspect on charges of planning and possible implementation of a terrorist attack with the aim of disturbing public order in the country

The cartridges and hand grenades were found and confiscated at Dayanat Samadov's house.

The Republican Prosecutor's Office investigates the criminal case field on article 228.1 (Illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation or carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies (except for the smooth-bore hunting weapon and ammunition to it), explosives) of the criminal code.

The information disseminated by the Interior Ministry said that on January 11 Dayanat Samadov and his brother-in-law Firdovsi Mammadrzayev's houses were searched in Guba region. Weapons and ammunition were revealed there.
