At today's meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament, the Code of Administrative Violations will be amended in connection with fining officials for confiscation of the things of people in customs.

The addition to article 337 of the Code of Administrative Violations stipulates that the customs officials shall be fined in amount of 2,000 to 3,000 manat for the illegal seizure of items from citizens (legal entities), transportation of which is prohibited, requires a special permit or is restricted in accordance with the laws of the Azerbaijan Republic and other regulations, without drawing up the administrative report in the marine and river ports (the bridge), at railway stations, bus stations, at airports and other checkpoints on state borders,.
At the same time, the officials will be fined from 3,000 to 4,000 manat for the illegal seizure of items citizens (legal entities) that are not prohibited for import (export), not require a special permit, is not limited to the import (export).
