A brain drain among medical staff from state to private institutions should be prevented in Azerbaijan, Parliamentary Social Policy Committee Deputy Chief Musa Guliyev said.
He added that an urgent issue today is increasing the salaries of health employees.
"If this issue is not resolved and the salaries of health employees are not increased to the average wage at the national level, there will be an imbalance between the salaries at private medical institutions and public health facilities," Guliyev said.
He stressed that many medical institutions opened in Azerbaijan last year.
