Azerbaijan, Baku, May 3 / Trend, I.Isabalayeva /

The Azerbaijani government is negotiating with the South Korean Development Bank to create a new modern vocational complex in Baku.

The Bank plans to allocate a loan worth $22 million to Azerbaijan to build vocational educational institutions, the Education Ministry's Vocational Education Department head Namig Mammadov told Trend.

A modern vocational complex that will prepare specialized staff in technologies will be created on the basis of the Baku Vocational School No. 4 at the expense of a loan.

"The construction should presumably be completed during this year," Mammadov said.

He said the new school will train specialists in technology, power industry, engineering industry and repair of information and communication technologies.

The Korean side is also interested in the project, Mammadov added.

"The Korean government plans to implement large projects with Azerbaijan. But these projects delay due to lack of specialized staff. I think if this project is implemented, favorable conditions will be created in Azerbaijan for Asian businessmen," Mammadov said.
