Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today signed an order on conducting the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijani President's official website reported.
The decree stipulates creating the Organizing Committee for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku to be chaired by UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva.
The composition of the Organizing Committee includes Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Interior Minister Ramil Usubov, Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev, Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov, Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov, Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov, Azerbaijan Airlines President Jahangir Asgerov, Azerenergy President Etibar Pirverdiyev, Bakielektrikshebeke President Baba Rzayev, Public Broadcasting Company CEO Ismayil Omarov, Advisor to the Azerbaijani President for Economic Affairs Ali Asadov and Head of the Azerbaijan Presidential Administration's Department of Humanitarian Affairs Fatma Abdullazade.
The Organizing Committee is tasked to prepare an action plan for the organization and conduct of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
