Azerbaijan 's First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva, has sent a greeting message to the participants of the 18th session of the UNESCO International Bioethics Committee opened in Baku on Tuesday. Executive director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov read out the message.

In her greeting message, Mrs.Aliyeva voiced support for holding various conferences, forums and round tables to study the bioethics.

"Each of us should realize that being citizens of our country we are also members of one family under the name of humanity. The globalization process turned each of us into a host of a large and common space. The relations among people, nations and peoples in this space must be built based on the principles of justice. If we think about tomorrow and realize our responsibilities before future generations, we must build all relations on a platform of ethics and justice," the message reads.

I hope the outcome of today's session will be an important step that will promote the development of bioethics both in the world and region, and in our country."
