Vilnius will host an international conference entitled "Safety of journalists in the OSCE area" on June 7-8, Azerbaijani Press Council Chairman Aflatun Amashov, who will attend the event, told Trend.
"Discussing safety of journalists, examining obstacles to their safe work environment, and sharing and promoting good practices in guaranteeing secure and free work conditions for the media will be the focus of an OSCE conference," he said.
Amashov said the event will be attended by OSCE Chairman Audronius Azubalis and OSCE Representative on Freedom of Media Dunja Mijatovic. Lithuanian President is expected to speak at the opening ceremony.
