It is necessary to strengthen cooperation between Azerbaijani journalists and their counterparts from Northern Cyprus, chairman of the Azerbaijani Press Council Aflatun Amashov said at a meeting with the press secretary of the Mejlis of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Gekan Guler.
Amashov informed the guest about the development of the Azerbaijani media, their activity and problems. He stressed that the Council attaches great importance to international relations, especially with Turkey and Northern Cyprus.
Guler spoke about the activity of the Mejlis of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the field of public relations. He stressed the importance of creative exchange between journalists in Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus and the need to intensify this process.
The sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
