By Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's decree, AzerTaj General Director Aslan Aslanov was awarded an order for contributing to the development of Azerbaijani-Russian relations.

By Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's decree, AzerTaj General Director Aslan Aslanov was awarded an order for contributing to the development of Azerbaijani-Russian relations.

Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Naryshkin delivered the order at the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan on Monday.

This is the honorable mission to deliver the Order of Friendship to AzerTaj news agency director general, Naryshkin said.

"While heading AzerTaj news agency, you have made a huge contribution to the friendship between our peoples," he said. "You play an important role in strengthening the information policy and the Russian language in Azerbaijan. While delivering the state award, we are glad that you have joined several Azerbaijanis who were awarded with this order."

"This is great honor and pride to get high appreciation of our work," Aslanov said. I express my gratitude to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev."

He said the present level of relations is so high thanks to the policy of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev continues this policy with dignity.

"The international humanitarian forum - the symbol of the Azerbaijani-Russian friendship is held in Baku under the auspices of the two presidents," he said. "It is significant that I get the award these days. Our common cause is to strengthen these relations."
