Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers amended the decision on approval of a number of regulations on the application of the law of Azerbaijan Republic On the transplantation of human organs and (or) tissues.
The new change was made on the basis of proposals of the Special Medical Service of the President of Azerbaijan, the Cabinet told Trend.
Ltd Central Clinic is included in the List of medical institutions who specialize in transplantation of human organs and (or) tissues by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministries. Along with transplantation of kidney, liver, heart, and complex "heart-lung", pancreas and its segments, pancreas together with duodenum will be possible to transplant the cornea and bone marrow in this facility.
Until now, transplantation of liver, pancreas and its segments, kidney, and cornea was held in Dzhavadzade Republic Clinical Urological Hospital and in Customs Central Hospital. It was possible to transplant the cornea in the Academician Zarifa Aliyeva Research Center of Ophthalmology. The transplantation of the liver, kidney, pancreas and segments of the pancreas with the duodenum, and the cornea transplantation was possible in the Central Hospital of oil workers.
