Hacker attacks on state and authoritative Azerbaijan's websites is not just a technical provocation, Azerbaijani MP Aydin Mirzazadeh said.
"List of hacked websites shows that it was done on purpose and aimed at disabling state, government and authoritative websites of Azerbaijan," Mirzazadeh told Trend on Monday.
Mirzazadeh added that the attack pursued political purposes.
"The attack aimed primarily at casting a shade on the rising image of Azerbaijan. Someone is not happy with the development of Azerbaijan, its successes in domestic and foreign policies. Azerbaijan's transformation into a developed state worries some people. However, their attempts are doomed to fail," he said.
The websites of a number of Azerbaijani state and public organizations, including Trend news agency were hacked on Monday.
At present, the appropriate bodies operate to reveal the sources of the attack on the organizations' websites.
