Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 27 / Trend M. Aliyev /
Azerbaijan will develop a new action plan to combat corruption, Combating Corruption Department Chief Kamran Aliyev told Trend today.
He said an action plan will be developed through discussions with NGOs and associations.
"We will try to finalize the preparation of the plan within a year," Aliyev said.
The new plan will reflect the struggle against corruption and the widespread use of international experience in this area, he said.
The action plan to implement a national strategy to increase transparency and enhance the fight against corruption covered 2007 to 2011. The plan consists of 59 points, which reflect objectives to improve legislation, state agencies and private organizations, specialized agencies, law enforcement agencies and courts in the fight against corruption.
