Delegations arriving in Baku to take part in the Eurovision 2012 contest, will be put up in specifically assigned hotels in the capital, head of the contest's working group Adil Kerimli told Trend on Friday.
He said a list of hotels will be decided for the guests and along with existing hotels, will also include those under construction as well those that will be commissioned by the start of the contest.
Hotel conditions that are included on the list should meet requirements and have a relevant number of accredited stars, he added. These will be five-star, four-star and three-star hotels. Information on contest tickets will be announced in late Feb., he added.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, there are 315 hotels and facilities of hotel types having licenses in the country. Some 115 of them are located in Baku and in the Absheron peninsula.
There are 15 five-star hotels in Azerbaijan, 13 of which are located in Baku, 37 four-star (21 in Baku) with the rest being located in the regions. Some 13 hotels of 21 three-star hotels are located in Baku. There are three, two-star hotels in Azerbaijan and one of them is in Baku.
