According to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s order, the funds envisaged for internally displaced people doubled this year, deputy prime minister, head of the State Committee of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov told media on Tuesday.

According to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's order, the funds envisaged for internally displaced people doubled this year, deputy prime minister, head of the State Committee of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov told media on Tuesday.

The construction work envisaged for the internally displaced persons will be carried out in nine regions of Azerbaijan this year. As a result, about 17,000 IDPs will be placed in the houses consisting of nearly 3,610 apartments till the end of this year.

The settlement, consisting of 423 houses, is under construction in Shaki," he said. "The construction of ten nine-storey residential buildings for 502 apartments is underway in Mingachevir. Belarusian engineers are building a small settlement with 45 apartments in Ismayilli region."

The construction of five-storey buildings will begin on the territory of Masazir this year, he added. There will be the settlement consisting of 320 private houses in Beylagan region and 350 houses in Imishli region. Two five-storey buildings for 155 apartments in Gabala region will be designed.
