A series of cultural events are scheduled to be held during the Eurovision 2012, executive director of the Azerbaijan Tourism Association Aydin Mammadov told Trend.
Mammadov noted that these events will be held along with the Eurovision.
"We plan to conduct various concerts, theater performances and other cultural events. It's difficult to name the singers and shows that will arrive in Baku, but it will be clarified soon. We also plan to organize other entertainment events", Mamedov said.
Mamedov noted that the main purpose of the organization of cultural events is to enhance the recreational atmosphere for people who come to the Eurovision 2012.
The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Baku Crystal Hall, which is under construction near the State Flag area.
The Baku Crystal Hall is an arena with a capacity for up to 23,000 spectators. Approximately 16,000 people will be able to attend each of the three Eurovision Song Contest live shows in May.
The contest semifinals will be held on May 22 and 24, while the Finals will be held on May 26.
Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
