A demonstration of the Azerbaijani History Museum's exhibits on the Internet has begun, ANAS VP Naila Velikhanli said on Monday.
She said this was made possible by museum joining the network of museums in Europe and Asia ASEMUS Virtual Collection of Masterpieces (http://masterpieces.asemus.museum). Several exhibits have already been included in this collection.
Velikhanli said it's very difficult to demonstrate all the exhibits on the Internet. Each museum may include only 10-20 exhibits in this collection. Azerbaijan by also adding its own unique exhibits in this collection will be able to promote the national culture.
More than a hundred museums are represented in this project. Among them are museums of Austria, China, Germany, Japan, India, Pakistan, Italy and France. There are only two CIS countries Virtual Collection of Masterpieces, namely Russia and Azerbaijan.
