The 57th Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Azerbaijan in May, is of particular interest not only among adults but children.

The Azerbaijani Education Center for Youth has organized a concert under World Vision International's support. The purpose of the concert is the public support for song contest Eurovision-2012 song contest, the center told Trend today.

The concert has taken place in the Metropark trade and entertainment center. Children, residents and official guests have familiarized with an exhibition of paintings.

Then, founder of the Azerbaijani Education Center for Youth Vusal Guliyev has made opening remarks and informed the guests about the essence of the program, the role of children in Eurovision song contest and in the development of civil society.

He added that this concert program proves once again that adults and children in Azerbaijan are ready to support the state.

Then the children from the children's homes and music schools, young musicians sang and danced.

Well-known TV presenter Ilkin Hasanli conducted a quiz for children and visitors of the center dedicated to the Eurovision contest. The winners got the prizes.

About 200 children from orphanages have attended the event, organized with the assistance of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the Azerbaijani President.

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Baku Crystal Hall near the State Flag Square. The semi-finals will be held in Baku on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26.

The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is 'Fire Flower', while the motto is Light your fire.

Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
