AFFA head: Azerbaijan sees no problems with European soccer championship in 2020

There will be no problems getting ready for the European soccer championship in Azerbaijan, AFFA President Rovnag Abdullaev told media on Thursday.
Previously, a decision was made to make a joint application of Azerbaijan and Georgia to hold the European Championship in 2020.
"Two countries must have eight stadiums to hold the championship," he said. At present, Azerbaijan is building a new stadium for 65,000 spectators. The reconstruction and modernization operations of the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium are under completion."
He said that it is not hard for Azerbaijan to build two more stadiums.
Azerbaijan voiced its intention at the FIFA congress to jointly hold the European Championship-2020 with Georgia, to be held in Budapest on May 24-25.
