On Monday, August 6, International Dialogue for Environmental Action (IDEA) campaign as part of the next stage of the IDEA Lectures project conducted in the resource center at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan a lecture on World Day of Actions for Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
Some 20 students from various educational institutions of the republic were brought to the lecture. They were given information about nuclear weapons, the dangers and consequences of its use. Candidate of chemical sciences Elkhan Amirbekov delivered the lecture.
The lecture was held in an interactive manner. Students were divided into groups, each of which had a specific task on the subject under discussion. The students came up with a five-minute presentation on a given topic.
In the final part the jury, consisting of representatives of the IDEA campaign evaluated their presentations and awarded prizes to the most active participants.
IDEA campaign was launched on July 12, 2011 by Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
