Baku city prosecutor's office and the Main Police Department have disseminated the official information in connection with an uncoordinated rally in Baku.

Around 200 radical believers gathered in front of the Education Ministry on Friday afternoon and attempted to hold an uncoordinated rally.

Despite the warnings of the police to stop disturbing public order, the protesters continued their illegal actions.

The traffic was disrupted for 40 minutes and nearby cars were damaged as a result of the protesters' disrespect for the society and acts of aggression.

Law enforcement members tried to stop the protesters but they resisted them by using wooden bars.

Around 20 police officers were injured.

As a result of decisive actions of the law enforcement bodies, around 65 people were detained.

Baku City Prosecutor's Office filed a criminal case upon the article 315.2 (resistance to members of the law enforcement bodies) and 233 (public order violation) of the Criminal Code.

The investigative group consisting of members of prosecution bodies and police officers was established to conduct complete and thorough investigation.

The investigation and search operations are underway.
