Report on the study of tissue samples taken for analysis from the remains of former Turkish President Turgut Ozal showed that Ozal wasn't poisoned, Sabah newspaper reported on Saturday, quoting the source at the Turkish Institute of Forensic.

According to the report, accumulation of chemical substances over the years that enter the body through ingestion and subsequently causing toxic poisoning could be the cause of Ozal's death.

Earlier, the Turkish newspaper Bügün made a statement that a study of the tissue samples taken for analysis showed signs of poisoning.

According to the newspaper, some potent poison strychnine, which led to the death of Ozal, was found in the samples of materials taken for analysis.

The Turkish prosecutor's office has made all the necessary for the exhumation of Ozal's body in mid-September, despite the fact that his family was against it.

Investigation of death of the president of Turkey, who died in 1993 under mysterious circumstances, has been renewed in connection with the rumors that he was poisoned. The official version of his death is still considered the heart failure. However, the wife of the late claims that her husband was poisoned. Associates of Ozal rejected this version.
