Those providing telecommunications services to mobile devices on the black list of IMEI-code registration (a unique code that is assigned by the manufacturer) will be penalized in Azerbaijan.
Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences regarding this issue were adopted during the Milli Majlis' session on Friday.
Violations will result in a 2,000 AZN fine for officials and 10,000 AZN for legal entities.
Repeated violation by the same entity within a year will result in a 4,000AZN fine for officials and a 20,000 AZN fine for legal entities.
Failure to register connection and correspondence with the mobile devices registration system telecommunications network will also result in administrative responsibility, under which officials will be fined 5,000 AZN and legal entities, 25,000 AZN.
