Turkish police have arrested 14 protesters from the demonstrations held in Izmir in support of the protests at Istanbul's Taksim Square, Hurriyet newspaper said today.
The detainees are suspected of organising the destruction of buildings of several state organisations and using incendiary devices against the police.
It was reported earlier that around 944 people were detained during the protests in Turkey.
Protests have been continuing in Turkey for more than 20 days. According to the authorities, they are anti-government. Turkey's opposition parties accuse the police of using excessive force against protesters.
Earlier, Turkish Interior Minister said an investigation is underway in connection with the use of excessive force against protesters.
