A decision on the carriage building plant construction will be made in Azerbaijan soon, Azerbaijan Railways company chairman Arif Asgarov told media today.
"The existing fleet is being repaired," he said.
Some 50 passenger carriages have been recently repaired at the Dnepropetrovsk plant in Ukraine and delivered to the country. At present, they are used on the Baku-Moscow and Baku-Tbilisi international routes.
Carriages are also being repaired at the plants in the Czech Republic and Russia.
"The passenger carriages are constantly repaired," he said. "Moreover, freight carriages and tank wagons are being repaired."
