Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov.17

Azerbaijan is famous for its centuries-old traditions of interreligious cooperation and good neighborly relations, said the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill to the participants of the international conference on religious tolerance which takes place in Baku Nov.17.
The conference is organized by the OSCE and the Office of Caucasian Muslims.
"Unfortunately, interreligious and interethnic peace is being tested for strength in recent months, alarming news come from both Ukraine and the Middle East," the message said. "The rights of Christians, including the faithful of the Russian Orthodox Church, are grossly violated."
"I am convinced that only a firm and unite position of the leading political and spiritual leaders is able to stop the escalation of conflicts on religious and ethnic grounds, which seriously threaten the stability in the world," the document said.
