Azerbaijani national woman headscarf, Kelaghayi, has been included into the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, according to the official Twitter page of Azerbaijan's Permanent Delegation to UNESCO.
"Azerbaijani Kelaghayi on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity," the delegation tweeted.
Earlier it was reported that a meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage will discuss the inclusion of the traditional art of making and wearing Kelaghayi and its symbolism to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
