Three ships of the Caspian Flotilla of Russia's Navy entered the port of Baku to make an official visit to the city August 13, said Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry.
The visiting vessels are the small artillery ships 'Makhachkala' and 'Volgodonsk', and the hydrographic vessel 'Anatoly Guzhvin'.
The ships' crews were met by the representatives of Azerbaijani Navy and the Russian Embassy in Baku.
While in Baku, the vessels' crews will visit the grave of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor.
They will also visit the Alley of Martyrs.
The commanding staff of the ships will meet with the leadership of the Azerbaijani Navy, the Executive Authority of Sabail District and the Baku Seaport.
They will also view the educational process at the Azerbaijani Higher Naval School.
The ships' personnel will also have a walk in Baku and a friendly football match.
The visit is to last until August 16.
