Azerbaijani wrestler Sharif Sharifov has advanced to men’s freestyle 86 kg quarterfinals at the Rio 2016.
In the round of 16, Sharifov defeated China’s Shengfeng Bi with a score of 10:0.
He will face Poland’s Zbigniew Mateusz Baranowski in the quarterfinals.
Fifty-six athletes are representing Azerbaijan at the 2016 Summer Olympics, underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The games, which kicked off on Aug. 5, will end on Aug. 21, and will be followed by the 15th Summer Paralympic Games on Sept. 7-18.
