Azerbaijan continues mine clearance in area for future airport in Zangilan (PHOTO)

Territory for international airport in Azerbaijan's Zangilan is being cleared from mines, head of the department at the Mine Action Agency, Bahruz Namazov said, Trend’s Karabakh bureau reports on Apr.29.
According to Namazov, initially, an area of 68,000 square meters was demined.
"Totally, an area of 3.53 million square meters has been cleared from mines in the Zangilan district," he added.
The district had been liberated from Armenian occupation during the Second Karabakh war from late Sept. through early Nov.2020.
