The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan has temporarily limited the import of live poultry and poultry meat from a number of regions of Poland and the Pakistani province of Punjab, Trend reports citing the agency.
According to the agency, epizootic foci of highly pathogenic bird flu have been identified in some regions of Poland.
As reported, highly pathogenic bird flu has also been recorded in the Pakistani province of Punjab.
"In order to strengthen control measures, the agency appealed to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan to take appropriate measures regarding vehicles arriving in Azerbaijan from Poland and Pakistan," the Agency said.
