Baku holds awarding ceremony for winners of final day of FIG World Age Group Competitions

The ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of the final day of the 28th FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions in trampoline jumping, double mini-trampoline and tumbling was held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

In the individual trampoline jumping program for women in the age category 11-12 years old, Daria Morozova (Russia) won the gold medal, the silver medal went to Arina Sharifullina (Russia), and the bronze medal went to Magdalena Kiseva (Bulgaria).

In the individual trampoline jumping program for men in the age group 11-12 years old, Kuga Kamiyama (Japan) climbed to the first step of the podium, Bazhen Silin (Belarus) came in second, Elizar Gutsev (Belarus) climbed to the third step of honor.

In the tumbling program for women in the age category 13-14 years old, Alexandra Lyamina (Russia) won gold, Adelina Minazova (Russia) won the silver medal, Alice Field (Great Britain) won bronze.

In the tumbling program for men in the age category 13-14 years old, Bailey Forbes (Great Britain) took the first place, Javier Harper (USA) climbed to the second step of the podium, Matvey Belov (Russia) took the third place

In the program of jumping on a double mini-trampoline for women in the age category 15-16 years old, Joslyn Bane won the gold medal, Rosalie Thongphei won the silver, Jacqueline Kent won the bronze medal. All female athletes represent the USA.

In the double mini-trampoline program for men in the 15-16 age group, Brent Declerck (Belgium) took the leading position, Marshall Frost (Great Britain) took the second place on the podium, and Omo Aikeremiokha (Great Britain) took the third position.

Serafima Kotova and Veronika Shmeleva (Russia) won gold medals in the synchronized trampoline jumping program for women in the age group 17-21, Sophia Landberg and Smilla Jensen (Denmark) won silver, Luca Christine Frey and Gabriela Ster ( Germany).

In the synchronized trampoline jumping program for men in the age category 17-21, Roman Barkov and Igor Grachev (Kazakhstan) took first place, Alexis Chevalier and Florestan Riu (France) took second place, Nikita Fomchenko and Sebastian Stankevich climbed to the third step of the podium (Belarus).

The 28th FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions were held in Baku on November 25-28.

Some 650 athletes from 32 countries are participating in the competitions. The gymnasts were performing in the following age categories - 11-12 years old, 13-14 years old, 15-16 years old and 17-21 years old at the tournament. The gymnasts were taking part in the individual and synchronized trampoline, as well as tumbling and double mini-trampoline.

Azerbaijan was represented by 15 gymnasts. Trampoline - Seljan Magsudova (age category 17 -21), Magsud Magsudov, (13-14), Ammar Bakhshaliyev (11-12), Ibrahim Mustafazade (11-12), Mehti Aliyev (13-14), Nijat Mirzoyev (13-14), Ali Niftaliyev (13-14), Shafiga Humbatova (13-14), Sama Jafarova (11-12); tumbling - Tofig Aliyev (17-21), Adil Hajizade (15-16), Bilal Gurbanov (15-16), Huseyn Asadullayev (15-16), Alexey Karatashov (13-14) and Elnur Mammadov (15-16).

The competitions were held without spectators in accordance with the requirements of the quarantine rules.
