The evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens from Ukraine due to the situation in the country to neighboring Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania continues, Trend reports citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
According to the press service, since the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, 6,500 citizens of Azerbaijan have crossed to the territory of Moldova, 770 - Poland, 318 - Romania, 60 -Slovakia, and 48 - Hungary.
“To date, 900 Azerbaijanis have been evacuated by five charter flights from Romania to Azerbaijan. The organization of charter flights for our citizens from countries bordering Ukraine, as well as evacuation by buses will continue,” the ministry said.
