Genesis - the 8th National Selection Conference of EYP Azerbaijan is to be held on March 24-27, 2022. European Azerbaijan School hosted the conference 3 days on March 24-26, 2022.
About EYP
European Youth Parliament (EYP) is one of the biggest platforms for young citizens from Europe and Azerbaijan to support open-minded discussions and debates about ongoing political, social, economical and cultural problems and create consistent and sustainable solutions. We prepare a forum for allowing young participants to express their thoughts on a diverse spectrum of topics within a welcoming environment. Since it was founded as a school project in Fontainebleau in 1987, EYP with the participation of thousands of young people in regional, national and international conferences has established a safe atmosphere for young people from different cultures and backgrounds to form lifelong friendships, as a bridge between the nations. By bringing young citizens with varied backgrounds, we are expanding our EYP network across Europe by building friendships beyond borders.
Thanks to the EYP, more than 30,000 participants of the network from 40 active countries in Europe, with 3,500 volunteers, experience political debate and intercultural exchange in Europe, learn to improve their language skills and work in an international environment. Top tier European politicians regularly visit our events and give speeches. Each year, more than 500 EYP events at regional, national, and international levels are organised across Europe.
European Youth Parliament Azerbaijan has been an active member of the EYP network since 2011. EYP Azerbaijan’s main purpose is to provide the youth with informative events and opportunities within the EYP’s general motives, and while improving the intercultural dialogues that contribute to Azerbaijan’s introduction to the international community.
About the event
“Genesis” was the 8th National Selection Conference of EYP Azerbaijan having been held between the 24th and 27th March. With the motto of “Embracing the past for a better future”, “Genesis” aimed to gather 130 participants mainly from Azerbaijan and Europe, concentrating on the self-improvement of its participants. One of the main purposes of National Selection Conferences is determining the delegation from Azerbaijan to send to the flagship event of the EYP Network- International Sessions to represent EYP Azerbaijan. The top 15 delegates selected from Genesis- the 8th NSC of EYP Azerbaijan will be sent to Riga 2022- the 96th IS- and Kortrijk 2022 - the 97th IS.
