BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. The awards ceremony for the winners of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup among men and women has been held in the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Trend reports.

Medals were awarded to men who performed in floor exercises, exercises on parallel bars and rings, and to women - in vault and exercises on uneven bars.

Artem Dolgopyat (Israel) took the first place in floor exercises, Milad Karimi (Kazakhstan) took the second position, while Eamon Montgomery (Ireland) took the third place.

In the vault, Oksana Chusovitina (Uzbekistan) won the gold medal, Csenge Maria Bachkay (Hungary) won the silver medal, and Teja Belak (Slovenia) - the bronze medal.

In the exercise on parallel bars, Ilia Kovtun (Ukraine) rose to the highest step of the podium, Ferhat Arican (Turkey) took the second position, and Joe Fraser (the UK) - the third place.

In the exercise on uneven bars, Laurette Charpy (France) won the gold medal, Naomi Visser (Netherlands) - the silver medal, and Vera van Pol (Netherlands) - the bronze medal.

In the exercise on the rings, Salvatore Maresca (Italy) took the first place, Ibrahim Colak (Turkey) - the second position, and Nikita Simonov (Azerbaijan) - the third place.

FIG Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup is being held from March 31 through April 3 in the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. Some 145 gymnasts from 34 countries are competing.

There were qualifications on the first two days of events, while finals will take place on the next two days. In the tournament, the traditional “AGF Trophy” will be presented to the gymnasts who will receive the highest score.

After three competitions of the World Cup held in different countries in 2022, the World Cup in Baku is considered to be the final stage. The three best results out of four shown in the four competitions will define the holders of the FIG Cup in individual events.
