BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17. Azerbaijan's position improved in international ranking for health indicators, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev said at the "1st Symposium of World Azerbaijani Doctors", Trend reports.
According to him, positive changes in the dynamics of tuberculosis incidence have been recorded in recent years.
"If earlier the tuberculosis incidence rate was 43.7 per 100,000 people, now it has dropped to 25.3. As a result of the work done, our country's position in the international health ranking has improved," the minister said.
The symposium will make an important contribution to the development of the healthcare sector, including from the point of view of studying innovations in the field of medicine, encouraging Azerbaijani doctors working abroad to work in medical institutions of the country.
The event is attended by representatives of government agencies, MPs, representatives of the media.
