BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 26. Iraqi judoka Sehen Sajad (81 kg) has been disqualified from the Paris Summer Olympics (Paris-2024) for violating anti-doping rules, which is the first doping sanction of the current Games, according to the International Testing Agency (ITA), Trend reports via Idman.biz.

A test taken by the 28-year-old athlete on July 23 was positive.

His blood contained the banned substances methandienone and boldenone.

Sajad was scheduled to face Uzbek fighter Sharofiddin Boltaboev in the Round of 16.

Boltaboev could have then met Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Tskhayev in the quarterfinals.

According to the rules, the Iraqi Olympian has the right to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and request the results of the B sample test.
