BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 30. The triathlon events at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have been postponed to July 31, Trend reports via Idman.biz.
The events, in which Azerbaijani athlete Rostislav Pevtsov is set to participate, were initially scheduled for today.
However, a meeting held on July 30 at 03:30 (GMT +4) decided to postpone the events.
The meeting gathered representatives of the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee, World Triathlon (WT), technical and medical staff, representatives of the International Olympic Committee, and Meteo France.
The participants, who discussed the water quality in the Seine River, deemed it necessary to postpone the events.
Given the latest weather data, it was decided that the men's triathlon events will be scheduled for tomorrow at 12:45 (GMT +4).
