BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. Formula 1 final races was held in Baku as part of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Trend reports.
The competition started at 15:00 Baku time.
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc took first place in yesterday's orderly heat, with McLaren's Oscar Piastri second and Leclerc's teammate Carlos Sainz third.
Red Bull's Sergio Perez and Mercedes' George Russell completed the top five.
The total length of the Baku track, consisting of 20 turns and 51 laps, is 306,049 km. The races were held here for the first time in 2016 under the name of the European Grand Prix. In subsequent years, the tournament was held as the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. In 2016, the German Nico Rosberg won, followed by Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen in subsequent years. Sergio Perez won in Baku in 2023 for the second time. Due to the pandemic, the competition was not held in 2020.
Max Verstappen leads the drivers with 303 points this season, followed by McLaren's Lando Norris and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc. In the Constructors' Championship, Red Bull is in first place, McLaren is in second place, and Ferrari is in third place.
