BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) found and defused more mines and unexploded ordnances in the country's liberated territories on September 9–15, 2024, a source in ANAMA told Trend.

The source noted that 44 anti-personnel and 15 anti-tank mines, as well as 690 unexploded ordnances, were found and defused in Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan over the reporting period.

Meanwhile, 1,115 hectares of land have been cleared of mines, added the source.

Following the liberation of its lands, Azerbaijan began operations in November 2020 to clean its lands of mines, booby traps, and other weaponry left behind by illegal Armenian forces.
