BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. Several new school buildings have been commissioned for the new school year with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, including the Zalimkhan Village Secondary School named after A. Asimoghlu in the Aghstafa district, Trend reports.
The school’s original building, built back in 1930, along with a second structure from 1988, had both seen better days and lately were in a bit of a pickle. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has rolled up its sleeves and put up a new building that can house 220 pupils, making sure no stone is left unturned in providing a bright future for the kids.
The new school building features 12 classrooms, laboratories for physics and chemistry, rooms for informatics, military training, first aid, and labor training, as well as a library, canteen, assembly and sports halls, and an outdoor sports ground.
This three-story building is fully equipped with modern furniture and tools, with subject rooms and laboratories fitted with visual aids.
Renovation and landscaping were carried out in the school’s yard, with decorative shrubs and trees planted, along with the installation of an up-to-date illumination system.
