GUBA, Azerbaijan, September 24. I won today's competition in a tense fight, the member of Azerbaijan's Ojag Sport Club, Zeynab Ismayilova, silver medalist of the Grace of Nature rhythmic gymnastics tournament at the Guba Olympic Sports Complex, said on the sidelines of the event held in Guba, Trend reports.
She mentioned that it's quite a feather in one's cap to be involved in such an event.
“I’m over the moon to come out on top. With everyone in my corner, I really knocked it out of the park today in the ring,” added Ismayilova.
To note, the Grace of Nature Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament kicked off at the Guba Olympic Sports Complex. The three-day competition will determine the winners both in the individual program and in group exercises.
A total of 255 athletes from 26 clubs are taking part in the competition. The gymnasts will compete in the following age categories: minors (born 2017-2018), youngsters (born 2014-2016), pre-juniors (born 2012-2013), and juniors (born 2009-2011).
In the individual competition, medals will be awarded for the all-around and specific apparatus events, however, in group exercises, athletes will utilize just individual apparatus.
The tournament gathers athletes from various clubs across the nation, which spices up the competition and keeps everyone on their toes. The Grace of Nature tournament is a golden ticket for young gymnasts to strut their stuff and gather invaluable experience under their belts.
