BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. A criminal case has been initiated by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan against Arayik Harutyunyan and others in connection with the terrorist attacks on the city of Ganja, and the case is filed under Articles 100, 116, 117, 120, 186, 214, 218, 228, and 279 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

In a press briefing held today to commemorate the anniversary of the fifth missile strike on Ganja, which occurred on October 17, 2020, Senior Prosecutor of the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan Shahin Osmanov provided an overview of the ongoing investigation.

He detailed that comprehensive investigations were carried out at the sites of each missile attack, including autopsies of the victims and the gathering of medical reports to assess the injuries sustained.

"Following the missile strikes on Ganja on October 4, 5, 8, 11, and 17, 2020, 26 civilians lost their lives and 175 were injured to varying degrees. The deceased included 10 men, 10 women, and 6 minors. Among the injured, there were 61 men, 66 women, and 48 minors," Osmanov reported.
