BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. A total of 75,000 trucks in both directions were registered at the electronic scale point located in Azerbaijan's Garadagh district in the last 10 days alone, Subhan Abilov, Director of the Cargo Transportation Department of the country's Land Transport Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport said, Trend reports.
He made the remark during a media tour of the electronic scales monitoring center located at the Baku International Bus Terminal complex today.
According to him, information about violators from these vehicles was transmitted to the Main Directorate of the State Traffic Police in real time.
“All scales undergo metrological testing by the Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology and are provided with an appropriate certificate,” the official explained.
“In total, the project involves the installation of 51 scales in 31 places throughout the country. The project is planned to be completed in 2026," Abilov added.
