BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov met with Azerbaijanis living in Denmark in Copenhagen on November 3, Trend reports via Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
Meanwhile, it was noted that members of the community highly appreciated the organization of such a meeting in Denmark for the first time in a large composition, exchange of views in various directions.
Chairperson of the Danish-Azerbaijani society “Vatan” M.Aliyeva, noted that 320 Azerbaijanis live in Denmark, and 150 of them take part in this meeting.
Spouse of the late head of “Vatan" Azerbaijan Society Safar Sadigi T. Mahmudova emphasized respect and attention to Azerbaijanis in Denmark.
Member of “Vatan” society N.Safar Sadigi emphasized the great usefulness of holding such meetings, which emphasize the unity of compatriots.
The engineer Z. Farzaliyev underlined that “there is no better tool for promotion of Azerbaijan in the world, for demonstration of our unity. We hope that such meetings will continue in the future”.
The member of the board of “Vatan" society, F. Ismayilova, noted that the Danish-Azerbaijani society "Vatan" often holds meetings with compatriots. “This is our first meeting with the State Committee for Work with Diaspora. We believe that such meetings will continue and 'Azerbaijani House' will be opened in Denmark," she said.
Deputy Chairman of the Danish-Azerbaijani society “Vatan” A. Huseynov noted that “Azerbaijanis, public activists from different regions of Denmark expressed special interest in this meeting. We want to open an “Azerbaijani House" in Denmark to study the Azerbaijani language".
The pensioner N. Hasanov expressed a wish for such meetings to be held more often.
The physician D.Mammadova stressed the importance of supporting the work of the society by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
