BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 18. The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has continued demining operations in the country's liberated territories on November 11–17, a source in ANAMA told Trend.

The source said that 126 anti-personnel and 29 anti-tank mines, as well as 483 unexploded ordnances, were found and defused in Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan in the reporting period.

Meanwhile, 972.6 hectares of land have been cleared of mines, added the source.

Note that the demining operations were carried out jointly with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, and four private companies.

Following the liberation of its lands, Azerbaijan began operations in November 2020 to clean its lands of mines, booby traps, and other weaponry left behind by illegal Armenian forces.
