Elmira Suleymanova, the Azerbaijani Ombudsman assisted in protection of the right of the Iranian citizen serving her term at woman prison 4, the Ombudsman Institute told Trend .
Suleymanova got familiar with the conditions of the prisoners’ keeping and their problems during her recent visit to the prison. The Iranian prisoner addressed to the Ombudsman to assist in meeting with the employees of the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan.
Having met with the prisoner, the employees of the diplomatic mission rendered moral and legal aid as a result of the Ombudsman’s address. Afshar Suleymani, the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, thanked Suleymanova for attention and assistance to the Iranian prisoners in his letter to the Ombudsman.
