The Azerbaijani national unarmed self-defense team will fight at the World Championship starting in Astana on Friday, the National Federation told Trend.
The team includes Elchin Mailov (57 kg), Hakim Nazaraliyev (62 kg), Gabil Masmaliyev (68 kg), Sahliman Agayev (74 kg) and Rustam Rustamov (90 kg). Mubariz Ibrahimov, the coach of the team, said that his wards were able to fight for award in several weight categories. He particularly counted on Nazaraliyev, who repeatedly ranked 1 at the Championships of World and Europe.
According to Ibrahimov, the main rivals may be sportsmen from Russia.
